Chris Stavenjord

Chris has worked with the most prominent Retail advertising experts in Canada.
The first was Morris Saffer, an influential and brilliant retail ad executive. As a Group Creative Director, Chris was responsible for the creative product designed for Black’s Photography with Hollywood actor Martin Short, Home Quarters Warehouse, Woodword & Northup and Pharmor Drugs in the USA.
Morris instilled an unshakable belief that the store IS the brand to which Chris carries today.
Chris took that passion and respect for "results driven" communication to the Communique Group, launching their advertising division.
As President and Chief Creative Officer he worked on brands like Microsoft, MasterCard, A&W, United Distillers/Diagio, adidas, New Balance, Bermuda Telephone and the CFL to name a few.
However, the campaigns he created for the TTC, Budget Car Rentals, Park&Fly and Japan Camera were some of his favourites.
The accountability and speed of retail is not for everyone but Chris found both those and the creative freedom, exhilerating.
The second retail guru was Rick Padulo.
Rick was phenomenal at discovering the tactical nuances within a retail operation and as his Vice- President Creative Director, Chris added that skillset while working on a myriad of business from Rexall, Sunbeam, Oster, Retail Council of Canada, President’s Choice Financial, PC Mobile and LandsEnd re-launch in Canada.
In between, Chris led the Creative ideation for Marketing Drive Worldwide, eventually becoming their Acting Canadian President.
Running a company that specialized in retail promotions only enhanced his expertise. MDW's client list was also impressive, Coca-Cola, Effem, Hershey, SeaMiles and Telus.
The most rewarding? Creating the Vancouver Olympic in-store communication for HBC. They were so thrilled with the design and strategy it was utilized as the basis for the national advertising campaign as well.
Chris brings a full circle of strategic, creative and tactical experience to each and every project.
